Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 1, 2026

RanchOps helps small farms, homesteads, and poultry keepers organize flock records, egg production, expenses, revenue, incubations, breeding records, photos, reports, and related planning tools. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using RanchOps.

Plain-English note

We use your information to run RanchOps, provide your account, process subscriptions, improve the product, and protect the service. Your private flock, bird, farm, financial, health, incubation, breeding, and task records are treated as private account data unless you choose to publish something through a public feature.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you register, we may collect your name, email address, password, account settings, public catalog settings, subscription status, and related account details.

Farm and flock records. RanchOps may store records you enter, including birds, flock groups, breeds, egg logs, transactions, expenses, revenue, incubations, hatch results, growouts, breeding records, pedigrees, health notes, weights, tasks, reports, and related notes.

Photos and uploads. If you upload photos, including bird, flock, breed, ranch catalog, or reference photos, we store those files and related metadata such as captions, ordering, primary-photo status, and display settings.

Public content you choose to publish. If you enable public ranch catalog features or public sharing, the information you choose to display may be visible to visitors. This can include a ranch name, bio, public links, public bird details, selected photos, and public-safe pedigree or catalog details.

Payment and subscription information. Payments are handled through our payment processor. We may store subscription status, plan type, trial dates, cancellation status, billing identifiers, and limited payment metadata. We do not store full card numbers on RanchOps servers.

Tool usage and technical data. We may collect log data such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, timestamps, error logs, security events, and general usage information.

Messages and support requests. If you contact us, send feedback, submit suggestions, or request support, we may keep your message and contact information so we can respond.

2. How we use information

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve RanchOps.
  • Create and manage your account, login, subscription, trial, and billing status.
  • Store and display your private ranch, flock, bird, breeding, hatching, financial, task, and report records.
  • Power public tools such as the Breed Library, Cross Predictor, Feed Planner, public result pages, and public ranch catalog features.
  • Generate estimates, plans, summaries, reports, and other tool output based on the information you submit.
  • Respond to support requests, feedback, and account questions.
  • Monitor performance, prevent abuse, troubleshoot bugs, and secure the service.
  • Send important account, billing, security, product, and service communications.

3. Public and private areas

Most RanchOps farm-management records are private to your account. This includes flock records, bird records, photos not marked public, egg logs, expenses, revenue, incubations, breeding records, health notes, weights, analytics, reports, and tasks.

Some areas are public by design. Public areas may include the Breed Library, Cross Predictor, Feed Planner, public cross result pages, and public ranch catalog pages if you enable them. You are responsible for reviewing what you choose to publish.

4. Artificial intelligence and third-party processing

Some RanchOps tools may use third-party AI providers to generate cross predictions, feed plans, image previews, summaries, or other planning output. When you use those tools, the information you submit for that request may be sent to the provider so the output can be generated.

Do not submit sensitive personal information, confidential business information, or information you do not want processed by a third-party service into public tools, prompts, notes, or generation fields.

5. Cookies, analytics, and tracking

RanchOps may use cookies or similar technologies to keep you logged in, protect the site, remember preferences, understand product usage, and improve performance. We may use analytics tools to understand aggregate traffic, popular pages, public-tool usage, and marketing performance.

You can adjust cookie settings in your browser. Some features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.

6. When we share information

We do not sell your private RanchOps records. We may share information with service providers that help us operate RanchOps, including hosting providers, payment processors, email providers, analytics providers, security tools, and AI processing providers. We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to prevent abuse, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

7. Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide RanchOps, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain backups, and improve the service. If you delete records or close your account, some information may remain in backups, logs, transaction records, or records we are required to keep.

8. Your choices

  • You can update many account and public catalog settings from your account area.
  • You can choose whether certain catalog details, photos, or ranch information are public.
  • You can cancel your subscription through the billing area where available.
  • You can contact us to request account help, data access, correction, or deletion.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect RanchOps. No online service is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong password and keeping your login credentials private.

10. Children

RanchOps is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of RanchOps after changes means you accept the updated policy.
