Terms of Service
Effective date: May 1, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of RanchOps, including the website, public tools, subscription features, account dashboard, reports, and related services. By using RanchOps, you agree to these Terms.
Important note
RanchOps is a recordkeeping and planning tool. It does not replace veterinary, legal, tax, accounting, animal nutrition, animal welfare, or business advice. Always use your own judgment and consult qualified professionals when needed.
1. RanchOps service
RanchOps provides tools for organizing small-farm and poultry-related records, including flock groups, birds, egg logs, transactions, incubations, hatching records, growouts, breeding records, health and weight notes, tasks, reports, public breed information, cross prediction, feed planning, and related analytics. Features may change over time as RanchOps develops.
2. Accounts and responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining accurate account information, keeping your login credentials secure, and all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
You agree not to create accounts using false information, impersonate another person or business, interfere with RanchOps, attempt unauthorized access, or use RanchOps for unlawful, abusive, harmful, or fraudulent activity.
3. Subscriptions, trials, and billing
Some RanchOps features require a paid subscription. RanchOps may offer a free trial, such as a 30-day trial, before recurring billing begins. Trial availability, plan pricing, billing interval, and included features may change over time.
By starting a paid subscription or entering payment information, you authorize recurring charges according to the plan you select unless you cancel before the next billing date. Subscription billing is handled by our payment processor.
You are responsible for taxes, fees, and charges associated with your subscription where applicable. If payment fails or your subscription becomes past due, access to paid features may be limited, suspended, or canceled.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription through the billing area where available or by contacting support. Canceling stops future renewal charges, but it does not automatically refund past charges. Your access may continue until the end of the paid billing period unless otherwise stated.
5. Public tools and generated output
RanchOps public tools, including the Breed Library, Cross Predictor, Feed Planner, and public cross result pages, are provided for general planning and educational purposes. Output may be generated using automated systems and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your specific animals, farm, budget, climate, or goals.
Breed predictions, feed plans, image previews, performance estimates, costs, hatch estimates, and other generated output should be treated as starting points only. You are responsible for verifying information before relying on it.
6. Animal health, welfare, and management
RanchOps does not provide veterinary care, diagnosis, treatment, emergency guidance, or regulated animal nutrition advice. For illness, injury, medication, withdrawal periods, disease outbreaks, mortality, feed safety, or animal welfare concerns, consult a qualified veterinarian, extension office, nutrition specialist, or other appropriate professional.
7. User content and photos
You keep ownership of the records, notes, photos, images, and other content you upload to RanchOps. You grant RanchOps a license to host, store, process, display, reproduce, and use that content as needed to provide the service and the features you choose to use.
If you publish content through a public ranch catalog, public cross result page, or future photo submission feature, you are responsible for making sure you have the right to share it. Do not upload content that violates another person’s rights, includes unlawful material, or exposes private information without permission.
8. Public ranch catalog and marketplace limits
Public ranch catalog features are intended for showcasing animals, ranch profiles, and public-safe information. RanchOps is not currently a livestock marketplace, auction platform, payment escrow service, shipping service, animal transport service, or sales broker. Any contact, sale, purchase, transfer, or agreement made outside RanchOps is solely between the parties involved.
9. Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to access accounts, data, systems, or features without permission.
- Do not misuse public tools, scrape the service, bypass rate limits, or overload RanchOps.
- Do not upload malware, harmful code, illegal content, stolen content, or content that infringes intellectual property rights.
- Do not use RanchOps to harass, threaten, defraud, or harm others.
- Do not represent generated content as guaranteed, certified, veterinary-approved, or professionally verified unless independently confirmed by qualified professionals.
10. Intellectual property
RanchOps, including its name, branding, design, software, public pages, tool layouts, and service features, is owned by RanchOps or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of RanchOps software, branding, or service materials.
11. Availability and changes
We may modify, add, remove, limit, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We aim to keep RanchOps useful and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, permanent availability of any feature, or preservation of every generated output.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay required fees, create risk for RanchOps or other users, misuse the service, or if we are required to do so by law. You may stop using RanchOps at any time.
13. Disclaimers
RanchOps is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and reliability. You use RanchOps and any generated output at your own risk.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RanchOps will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, animal loss, production loss, business interruption, or substitute services arising from your use of RanchOps.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of RanchOps after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
